The FTC boxwood retrieval ball is a very useful accessory to retrieve anchors from a distance.

The FTC boxwood retrieval ball is drilled with a conical hole, with a shoulder to keep the string in. Retrieval balls are knotted to a splice with a girth hitch or on a rope with a prusik knot. The 30 mm (1.18 in) diameter allows retrieval of all types of cambium savers, including those with rings, whether the rope is spliced or not. The wood retrieval ball are made out of boxwood, which is a very hard, very dense wood – so that the product is very robust.

The dyneema line helps tie it to the end of a rope, so that it will lock itself in the anchor’s retrieval part and help bring both anchor and rope back to the ground.
