The FTC aluminium retrieval ball is a very useful accessory to retrieve anchors from a distance.
The FTC aluminium retrieval ball is drilled with a conical hole, with a shoulder to keep the string in. Retrieval balls are knotted to a splice with a girth hitch or on a rope with a prusik knot. The aluminium retrieval ball has a small diameter (17 mm) and has been designed to retrieve cambium savers used with pulleys such as:
- Cocoon
- Fixe
- Pinto 110
- Roller Fixed
The dyneema line helps tie it to the end of a rope, so that it will lock itself in the anchor’s retrieval part and help bring both anchor and rope back to the ground.
It is particularly adapted to the retrieval of the Choker Light cambium saver using a 7 mm (0.27 in) quick link.
Can also be used with a Petzl Fixe pulley or a Cocoon 5 pulley from Art.
