Back once again to the stunning location of Westonbirt Arboretum – unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to enjoy the trees!
As with any large event there is always plenty to do and with the Arb Show 2019 this was the case - with over 6000 items priced, transported and displayed with everyone pulling together and a huge effort from all involved we have pulled off our biggest and best Arb show display ever!
The big hit was the 3.5m truss that was used to highlight climbing & lowering kit including the formidable GCRS system – what a beast! Great work by Adam, Roy & the rets of the guys from Acer Tree Surgeons along with Tony Darbyshire of Sawpod Ltd. Being able to try a harness & the other climbing accessories, Petzl Zigzags & the Chicanes (which sold out on day 1!) was a real hit with all who visited us.
Thanks to Dave Garry from DMM for bringing along the tensile tester and keeping us on our toes with every test making us jump!!
With the additional help & support from Keith Pinnock of Tranemo, Richard Mostyn from Papertrail and Raphael Dianon from Francital for the Sorbus launch of the Francital range of chainsaw protective trousers completed a truly International field!
The people we met at the show and the feedback after has been great:
“By far the best stand & biggest display of climbing & lowering equipment, PPE & other goodies at the show” – Paul Merry – Arborist & Lecturer Bridgwater & Taunton College.
Thanks to all involved and for those who came to see us, see you all there in 2020 for an even bigger & better show!
