Steel quality
The quality cutting edge is from the quality steel ARS, together with the steel manufacturers, have been developing to produce ARS tools. It must clear ARS's own highest standard steel level after first having cleared the JIS (Japan Industrial Standard).
Thermal treatment
Tenacity and hardness are the key factors to the ARS cutting edge. ARS has managed to convert the skill of experienced master technique into the numerical scale system. This allows for a automatic thermal treatment, this leading on to creating the highest grade of automatic thermal treated steel available.
Grinding
In order to produce reliable products, ARS is responsible for working on the research production process all the way up to the developments of its own production machines. This enables us to control every fine detail and small angle of the product, but on a mass production scale.

Hard Chromed Plated
Hard-Chrome Plating offers greater hardness, rust proofing, sharp looks and superior durability. The smooth surface prevents resin from sticking and accumulating the blades.
Impluse Hardening
The new impulse hardening method involves both heating and cooling within several thousandths of a second, using impact energy created by high frequency currents. This method has enabled ARS blades to embody the remarkable hardness of 900HV to 950HV on the Vickers scale, above any reading on the Rockwell C scale, and still retain its high elasticity. Impluse hardening will extend blade life by approximately three times normal usage.
Flat-set teeth
ARS blades are thinner at the back of the blade and thicker at the teeth, and the blades are then ground with automatic grinders to assure uniformity and precise tooth progressions. This results in long lasting sharpness, clog-free sawing and a finished cut so perfectly smooth. Because the sides of the blades never touch the wood surface, there's no resistance of the saw blades, which makes easier and quicker cutting. ARS saws will not tear the wood like conventional saws; they cut like a knife.
